Process Engineering Manager

12+ month renewable term contract. Potential to extend/option to hire.

Client: A major global corporation and a leader in their industry operating over 350 manufacturing facilities with annual revenue earning over $19 B and employing over 15,000.

Role:

• Provide process engineering support to plant staff working under corporate direction.
• Assist in development of PFDs, block flows and P&IDs.
• Conduct vendor coordination and/or identification of OEM providers of any equipment not already selected.
• Coordinate review meetings, status updates, startup assistance, commissioning assistance and operator training.
• Review layouts and provide input to adjustments required.
• Assist in development of equipment list.
• Provide project management support services.
• Provide project management support for the project up to and through engineering phase.
• Perform construction management support regarding project scope.
• Assist in development or updating a project schedule with associated milestones.
• Coordinate with engineers on OEM equipment status updates and deliveries.
• Provide guidance and assistance in development of a capital budget.
• Maintain and update MOC process documentation for the project.
• Prepare scope, schedule, and budget documentation for funding reviews.
• Participate in all discipline design reviews.
• Work with plant and corporate representatives to refine project objective, scope and success metrics as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university.
• 7 -10+ experience in manufacturing processes and capital project management.
• Background in process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Primary experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Manufacturing plant construction experience is a plus.
• Scheduling software knowledge (P6 or MS Project), cost reporting and trending through project management tools and Microsoft Excel.
• Food manufacturing background is a plus.
