Thomas Perls MD, MPH
NIH funded Principal Investigator and Board Certified in Geriatrics and Internal Medicine
The New England Centenarian study is the largest study of Centenarian and their offspring in the world. Centenarians are a natural model of maximizing health span. We carefully phenotype participants, especially their neurocognitive function, and some physical function measures. Neurocognitive measures include digitized recorded voice responses and digital pen recordings. Physical and sleep function measures are obtained using the Actigraph wearable.
We are seeking a post-doctoral fellow or researcher to manage and analyze these data in part to discover early preclinical markers of neurocognitive decline and disease and resilience. These markers will be associated with concurrently generated omics and behavioral data.
