Plant Superintendent

Title: Plant Superintendent - Food and Beverage Manufacturing

Location: Vernon, CA

Salary: $120,000-140,000/Year + Benefits

Requirements: At least 5+ Years in Plant Superintendent or Assistant Plant Manager role, with Manufacturing Experience.

We are a dynamic and high-performance milling company with 12 manufacturing mills in seven (7) states, stretching coast-to-coast. As the largest private flour milling company in the nation, we have an immediate opening in our Vernon, CA mill for a full-time Plant Superintendent.

What You Will Be Doing

• Contribute valuable technical expertise to drive continuous improvement in processes and optimize equipment efficiency.
• Leverage the skills of the production team members and effectively manage machines and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive manufacturing environment.
• Take charge of planning, initiating, and executing capital projects on time and within budget.
• Provide continuous training, mentoring, coaching, and development of team members to ensure the milling team remains skilled, motivated, and capable of delivering exceptional results.
• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
• Foster a strong working partnership with all functions to support mill objectives.
• Ensure efficient, safe, sanitary processing and packaging working towards zero losses.
• Ensure that production facilities and finished products meet the company and government standards of quality, sanitation, and safety.
• Provide business leadership that demonstrates commitment to department and plant goals on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensure efficient interchange of information between operations department and support resources at the plant.
• Create an environment where all team members are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential in meeting department/business goals.
• Lead and support plant continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties may be assigned.
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, flour milling, or engineering required, or equivalent
  
  

experience.

• 5 years' experience in a Grain/Flour mill or other food manufacturing environment.
• 5 years' supervisory or managerial experience required.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners.
• Ability to have a flexible work schedule and be on call as needed.
