Pipe Stress Engineer

We are a 40 year old international seismic engineering firm that is rapidly growing. We are based in California but we have offices nationwide. Working with us, you will get access to some of the nation's largest construction projects. We are looking for multiple outgoing and motivated pipe stress engineers to join our team! We are hiring for our offices in La Mirada, Houston, and Charlotte. Remote is an option for the right candidate.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform ASME B31 pipe stress analysis using a variety of calculations and methods
• Utilize Autopipe, STAAD, Solidworks FEA for piping analysis and support design in a 3D environment
• Coordinate and communicate with clients using Revit, Autocad, Fabrication, and more
• Develop cost effective engineering solutions
• Collaborate with in-house structural engineers to develop installation details that include details for shaft risers, wall mounted systems, moment frames, vibration isolated systems, etc.
• 2D/3D CAD detailing of supports on MEP systems
• Answer engineering questions and provide information to clients
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years experience with pipe stress analysis
• 3+ years experience with ASME B31.1, B31.3, and other piping codes
• Proficiency in CEASAR II, Autopipe, Pipestress, Revit, Autocad, FEA
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing, or fire protection is a plus
• PE license preferred (not required)
