Justification: Business Applications has just been told that we need to implement additional functionaltiy is PeopleSoft Payroll. Our team is not staffed to handle an implementation of this magnitude. Principal Duties: This position serves on a team of PeopleSoft subject matter experts supporting the day to day activities of the PeopleSoft North American Payroll module. The role is to assist in guiding the end-users from the design phase through the configuration and testing of the new requirements and functionality. This position will provide production support by troubleshooting issues and identifying and implementing process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide functional support and configuration expertise to the Payroll team, including: basic setup, tax setup, retro payments, with ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Advise the business on best practices related to configuration and setup of the payroll system.
• Assist with the documenting of business requirements performing fit/gap analysis, and developing functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
• Involved in all testing phases and issue resolution when implementing new functionality – including integration with PeopleSoft Human Resource and General Ledger modules and UKG WFD (Dimensions) timekeeping system.
• Knowledge of full cycle payroll processing in PeopleSoft version 9.2
• Partner with Payroll personnel to support business operations and satisfy user inquiries, resolve issues and support applications.
• Modify or develop new queries and reports in PeopleSoft as needed.
• Support multiple interfaces to and from the payroll system.
• Participated in year-end payroll processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with peers and customers to deliver solutions.

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll application – heavy use of retro payment processes a plus
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)

Minimum Qualifications: Under varying levels of direction and expertise, is responsible for the on-going assessment, design, and development and implementation of enterprise wide business applications. Specifically, collect and transform large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements; develop and modify requirements documentation for the design, implementation and support of enterprise business applications developed by internal development teams and those acquired from a third-party vendor; critically evaluate information from various sources, distinguish user needs from actual business needs and partner with business users, project managers, programmers, consultants and IT leadership in optimizing the Product, benefits and risks of actual and proposed projects as well as assist in managing stakeholder expectations.
We are looking to fill positions with the following modules: Time and Labor, Human Resources, Payroll, Absence Management, Security Administrator, Human Capital Management, Finance, Systems Administrator, Benefits, Peoplesoft Developer.
General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:
• Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through the construction of basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications.
• Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors in order to assess business needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents based on captured data and in accordance with departmental protocol/standards.
• Convert information gathered into details including data sources, data and user types, interface components, interface navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs.
• Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements.
• Provide project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements; assist team in developing solutions.
• Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups as well as oversee and execute follow-up activities.
• Ensure software development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with quality assurance team. Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards.
• Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process. Document software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guidelines and other materials.
• Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments in coordination with other team leaders.
• Perform end user and application support functions including problem solving and resolution of application function defects. Provide systems and application training.
• Provide training to and serve as a mentor for Junior Business Analysts and/or other appropriate project team members; manage and evaluate work products for assigned team members.
• Participate in the development of various departmental training initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies.
• Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned
• Work on other activities, as assigned.
Knowledgeable In:
• EHR (Electronic Health Record) vendor’s application such as Allscripts and Epic is a plus and Other various Hospital applications such as Onbase, Incident Management Systems, ERP, etc.

• Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Project
• Understanding of software User Interface design, software development life cycle or Joint Application Development, and knowledge or exposure to project management methodologies.
• Must be able to work independently as well as work as part of a fast-moving team
• Health Care Experience and Knowledge of Client are a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in the characteristics of Information technology, computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages are a plus
• Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
• Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques.
Educational Level:
• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
• Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems, and applications.
• Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years). or
• A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Years of Experience:
• Three years of experience gathering and documenting business and/or functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis in an information technology, information services, business, analytics or related area: or
• A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.
