Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic and growing organization seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. Position: Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll entries into Success Factor (HRIS System) that integrates with UKG for seamless processing.
  • Handle Canadian and US payroll
  • Perform data entry into Ceridian for Canadian payroll processing.
  • Process payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate payroll reports including payroll registers and detailed previews.
  • Process wires and ensure timely payroll disbursements.
  • Audit 401K files to ensure accuracy and submission to Vanguard's system.
  • Audit various payroll documents to maintain data integrity.
  • Manually enter new hire information into Success Factor and Ceridian for Canadian employees.
  • Assist with invoicing related to benefits, allocate costs by cost center using ad-hoc reports.
  • Coordinate invoice processing and check requests to AP for approval.
  • Distribute costs and expenses by entity as required.
  • Make critical decisions regarding payroll deadlines and information availability.
  • Support HR functions including onboarding/offboarding processes, employment verification, and employee inquiries.
  • Manage the HR inbox and assist with related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll Audit processes, providing necessary supporting documents.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state or international environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with Success Factor, UKG, and Ceridian payroll systems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
