Position

Part-time bookkeeper/administrative assistant for a boutique diversity and inclusion consulting firm that does work with an exciting mix of global corporations, law firms, and cultural institutions. 

Hours

15-20 hours/week. Location negotiable – prefer one day in the office

Location

Hybrid - Manhattan NY (office in Times Square) and remotely

Summary

Seeking a skilled bookkeeper/administrative assistant with a sharp attention to detail and strong proficiency in financial management. This dual role involves optimizing administrative processes and ensuring precise financial record-keeping (and overseeing payroll) to facilitate efficient business operations. Person will work under the supervision of VKC partners, to provide financial, administrative, and logistical support for all aspects of the Firm’s growing consulting practice.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial

1.    Responsible for QuickBooks software for three corporate entities including payroll, payroll taxes, 401k contributions and account management, prepare quarterly and yearly payroll tax fillings, accounts payable and receivable (invoices)

2.    Provide regular financial reports of projected income, P&L, and expenses

3.    Responsible for general ledger, accounts receivable and collections and accounts payable

4.    Reconcile monthly bank and credit card transactions for three entities

5.    Analyze financial trends/patterns and provide periodic updates

6.    Maintain regular communication with external CPAs and partners

Office administration

1.    Maintain client management system

2.    Serve as primary liaison with accountants and building management

3.    Respond to new client inquiries and field intake calls

6.    Produce reports and other client-related materials, as needed

7.    Assist partners with personal tasks as needed


Minimum Job Requirements

·    At least 4 years of bookkeeping experience

·    Proficiency in QuickBooks

·    Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices

·    Strong administrative skills with a “no job too small” work ethic

·    Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

Salary

$35-40/hour commensurate with level of experience.
