Title: Packaging Engineer
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Job Description
An employer is seeking a Packaging Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Blue Ash, OH. The Packaging Engineer will join the engineering department and collaborate closely with the New Product Development and Lifecycle teams to develop packaging systems tailored to meet the needs of clients in the Medical Device industry.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting engineering design changes
Hands-on involvement in the package laboratory to test and simulate transportation distribution strategies
Serving as a technical writer and creating component drawings and specifications
The ideal candidate will have a detailed background in Med Tech and experience within the range of 1-7 years, eager to grow within the organization. Prior working knowledge of ISO 11607, 13485, or 15223 is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of packaging engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Working experience with ISO 11607, 13485, or 15223
Autonomous personality capable of managing packaging requirements from start to finish
Strong technical writing skills and component drawing knowledge in CAD
Ability to work on-site 3 days a week and travel up to 10%
Windchill PLM experience
