Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the daily functions of the Operations team to deliver on safety, quality, customer commitments and service levels. The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a team of 20+ associates across a one shift operation. They will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement processes, establishing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), and assisting the VP of Operations in designing and building out the manufacturing facility to increase capacity and capabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to the Operations team in their support of meeting and exceeding KPI targets, as related to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Manage all batching, packaging, fulfillment and logistics operations for the company to support all customer demand.
  • Partner with the VP of Operations, HR Director, and the Safety & Quality Coordinator to manage the company's Safety Committee.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment for all employees.
  • Partner with the VP of Operations to develop short term and long term growth plans in the areas of Operations strategy, budget, cost savings, hiring, training and Capital Expenditure plans.
  • Partner with the Operations management team to implement and sustain necessary cGMP and compliance regulations with new product launches
  • Responsible for annual performance reviews and development plans for the Operations employees.
  • Analyze current operations to identify areas for improvement that may lead to an increase in efficiency or reduction in cost.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business preferred
  • 5+ years managing people in an Operations or Manufacturing environment
  • 7+ years working in an Operations or Manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of safety and quality regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA)
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement environment or start up type business preferred
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred
  • Travel up to 10%
