On behalf of a client in the financial services industry, we are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented operations and trading assistant to join the organization’s operations team. Playing a critical and dynamic role at the intersection of trading and operations, the ideal candidate will be adept at handling various tasks and challenges with agility and precision related to the day-to-day business operations and trading activities. The role requires both a proactive approach and a strong understanding of trading processes and operations workflows. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Baton Rouge, LA and reports to the Branch Operations Manager.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the daily operations of client accounts, including account setup, client onboarding, maintenance, and documentation
Assist with general office operations, including administrative tasks, scheduling, and coordination of office activities
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining accurate records and documentations for audits and regulatory reviews
Assist implementing the best practices to enhance process efficiency
Process asset transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Assist with trading on the behalf of clients, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs, ensuring accurate and timely execution of trades
Provide exceptional service to clients by assisting with inquiries and addressing their needs promptly
Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications
Requirements for this position include the following:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field
Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to obtain them
Previous experience in trading, operations, or wealth management preferred
Understanding of financial markets, trading platforms, and asset transfer processes
Strong technical skills with the ability to be proficient in trading software and portfolio management systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to be proactive and take ownership of tasks
Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment with a willingness to take on new and varied responsibilities
