Carraro (www.carraro.com) is an International Group Leader in transmission systems for off-road vehicles and specialized tractors. The Group's activities are divided into two Business Areas:


- Transmission systems (axles and transmissions) and components mainly for agricultural and earthmoving machinery, as well as a wide range of gears intended for highly differentiated sectors: from automotive to material handling, from agricultural applications to earthmoving.

- Specialized tractors (vineyard and orchard, between 60 and 100 horsepower) aimed at third parties and engineering services aimed at designing innovative ranges of tractors.


Carraro Group counts 4.000 employees world-wide - of which 1.800 in Italy - and has production sites in Italy (4), India, China and Argentina. The HQ is based in Padua.


We are looking for a passionate North America Account Manager, who will be responsible for:


Maintain customer relationships at the purchasing, engineering, quality, marketing, and sales levels focused on implementing strategic and tactical customer account initiatives, while requiring minimal supervision and support.


Essential Functions:

  • Lead day to day account maintenance topics, responding to price requests, change requests, tracking Quality & Delivery performance and support product launch initiatives;
  • Support customer interactions that impact commercial aspects including quotes and written agreements;
  • Develop interpersonal relationships with key customer contacts;
  • Monitor sales order process and provide strong technical support on complex orders;
  • Possess a strong understanding of clients' businesses, industry, and organizational structure;
  • Establish short- and long-term sales plans using global software tools and based on interaction with Carraro Sales Management and Product Managers;
  • Assist open RFQ responses by working with Product Experts, Segment Leads, Purchasing and Pricing Analysts.


Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of all areas in the Agriculture and Construction Equipment industry including Suppliers, OEMs, Fleets, Original Equipment Service (OES), independent distribution channels, etc.;
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of organizational sales policies and procedures;
  • Strong knowledge of the operation, design and application of Precision Gears, Transmissions, and Driveline products;
  • Strong knowledge of contracts and negotiation tactics;
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategies;
  • Strong knowledge of computer-based programs. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint…etc).


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management or similar experience;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Agriculture / Construction Equipment / Transmissions / Axles industry experience required;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience with AG/ Construction Equipment OEM preferred.


Required Skills:

  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong technical solution based selling skill set required. Must be able to address the customers’ technical needs;
  • High technical aptitude and business acumen in the industry;
  • Customer first attitude, driven to build and prioritize customer relationships throughout the customer’s organization and within Carraro;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to develop creative solutions that address customer needs;
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker for both short-term and long-term wins;
  • Must be able to partner with customers to develop, document, and execute strategic plans;
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required;
  • Strong professional presence, capable of influencing through interactions and follow-up;
  • Must be capable of building and using a strong network, team player and wiliness to work in a matrixed global organization;
  • Capable of building and delivering professional presentations;
  • Ability to learn quickly in a short amount of time;
  • Must maintain an organized work area from a home office that allows for quick and efficient responses to the customer needs;
  • Very Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Products.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business or Engineering discipline preferred;
  • MBA a plus.


Travel Requirements:

  • Individuals must be domiciled in the defined territory and must be located within one hour of a major airport;
  • Must be capable of traveling 60% of the time to customer facilities, Carraro locations, and industry events
