Buckeye Mountain is seeking a Network Support Technician. Successful candidates should have the ability to learn and understand network technologies including both physical and virtual cloud-based networks. The Network Support Technician is responsible for ensuring system availability and hardware management by providing the technical expertise, assistance, installation, and coordination necessary to maintain network operations.
Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in improving processes to provide learning opportunities to both internal and external personnel
Drive issues to resolution and document steps taken
Successfully diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and network related problems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and technical support problems
Evaluate network performance
Maintain and repair hardware including peripheral devices as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service
Communicate with both internal departments and external customers to document requirements to ensure a smooth transition from BOM creation, receipt of all equipment parts & pieces, staging, configuration, and installation
Provide technical assistance and advice to sales team, potential customers and users, both local and remote, as needed
Document processes and procedures for the design and implementation process including site evaluations and post install reporting
Utilize internal asset management tools (iTrack/FastField) to track hardware and hardware conditions clearly and accurately
Required Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail when performing repetitive tasks
Advanced knowledge of computer networking
Experience with layer 2 concepts such as VLAN and LACP
Experience with layer 3 concepts such as VRRP, VPN, and BGP
Strong understanding of IPv4 subnetting and routing
Working knowledge of cloud-based networking including Azure and AWS virtual networks
Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Strong written and verbal communication skillsActive listening skills
Wireless networking experience and aptitude
Basic knowledge of both DC electrical theory and photovoltaic systems
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
Ability to work safely in high conditions such as on a tall ladder or aerial manlift
Strong understanding of the use of basic power and hand tools required
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Commitment to embrace innovation, technology, and continued growth
Background in a customer service or call center is preferred
Background in a Field Service position is strongly preferred
Experience with Splunk Enterprise is bonus
