Job Description Below

Essent Guaranty, a leading provider of mortgage insurance products, is seeking a talented Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's networking infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the company. This is a 12-month contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with upper management to understand and address networking needs effectively, providing exceptional people skills and maintaining strong communication channels.
  • Manage and maintain phone systems and audio/video systems, including Zoom Phone and Zoom Room, to facilitate smooth and efficient communication within the organization.
  • Occasionally travel to different locations as required to provide on-site support for networking requirements.
  • Contribute to networking tasks with a focus on Cisco routing and switching to optimize network performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with upper management, demonstrating strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in phone systems and audio/video systems, particularly with experience in Zoom Phone and Zoom Room.
  • Background in networking with solid knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to different locations, as needed, to fulfill networking support responsibilities.

Nice To Have

  • Experience in cabling network racks, ensuring proper organization and management of physical network components.
  • Familiarity with AWS DevOps and networking, leveraging cloud technologies for network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass 802.1x and Aruba Wireless Access Points, enhancing network security and wireless connectivity.
  • Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers, contributing to network security and load balancing capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the SolarWinds monitoring platform, enabling effective network monitoring and troubleshooting.
