The Mortgage System Administrator serves as part of the Mortgage team supporting daily operations to ensure delivery of superior member service. The Mortgage System Administrator is responsible for the integrity and efficient functioning of the mortgage department systems, updating related procedures and providing training. Accountable for supporting the mortgage team through a variety of means including but not limited to operational issues, procedures, testing, training, creating reports, requests for enhancements, system releases, and providing a high degree of knowledge regarding system applications and industry compliance. This team member will be capable of working independently and problem-solving issues that tend to be more complicated and diverse.
Systems will include mortgage loan origination, mortgage loan servicing, credit union’s core processing, reporting and other ancillary systems. The Mortgage System Administrator will work directly with end-users, venders, and the business analyst to identify opportunities for process improvements, provide support in researching system issues and testing changes or enhancements.
The Mortgage System Administrator is also responsible for working with management to identify potential issues or process improvements and ensure that employees have the resources, training, and knowledge to allow the credit union to meet is strategic and operational goals. The Mortgage System Administrator will analyze current processes, perform trend analysis on recurring issues, and make formal recommendations to management that will increase efficiency and/or reduce risks.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Require 2 yr. Degree in related field or Business Administration or Computer Information System or Equivalent combination of Education and Experience.
Experience Required
Three (3) years of experience to include the following:
Mortgage operations experience to include origination, processing, closing/funding, shipping, and servicing functions.
Prior experience on a project team.
