Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Post Closing Bond Team Lead to join our team at a leading national mortgage lender. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to our Post Closing Bond Team, which includes Delivery Coordinators, Post Closers, and Administrators. Your primary focus will be ensuring the daily production and compliance of all team members involved in Bond Delivery and Post Closing processes. Collaboration with internal departments and Title Offices will be crucial for document corrections and resolutions. Additionally, you will handle loan-level escalations and inquiries, ensuring timely delivery of closed loan files to various bond agencies and resolving loan defects promptly.
Job Responsibilities
$65,000 - $70,000 per year. The salary range considers candidate qualifications, experience, and location, with potential for growth within the position.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Post Closing Bond Team Lead to join our team at a leading national mortgage lender. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to our Post Closing Bond Team, which includes Delivery Coordinators, Post Closers, and Administrators. Your primary focus will be ensuring the daily production and compliance of all team members involved in Bond Delivery and Post Closing processes. Collaboration with internal departments and Title Offices will be crucial for document corrections and resolutions. Additionally, you will handle loan-level escalations and inquiries, ensuring timely delivery of closed loan files to various bond agencies and resolving loan defects promptly.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the assigned Post Closing Bond Team, providing coaching and support for employee growth.
- Act as the first point of escalation for the team, addressing general questions and conducting additional file reviews as needed.
- Monitor daily investor reports to identify and manage loans suspended for purchase, ensuring balanced file loads within the team.
- Assist in training new hires and existing employees on various topics to enhance their skills.
- Oversee tasks and responsibilities of the Post Closing Bond Team, stepping in as necessary to support operations.
- Ensure compliance with investor timelines by monitoring loan delivery and confirming file receipt within deadlines.
- Proactively identify and resolve delivery deficiencies in the loan pipeline to prevent delays.
- Collaborate with investors and county offices to clarify and cure defects on escalated files.
- Monitor daily condition reports from investors and maintain communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide updates on loan statuses to management and the Post Closing Leadership Team.
- Ensure team meets monthly loan goals and adheres to investor guidelines to avoid penalties.
- Troubleshoot and propose solutions within established guidelines to resolve issues effectively.
- Minimum of 4 years' recent experience in a Bond Post Closing role within the mortgage industry.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Team Lead or Senior Post Closing role.
- Strong understanding of Bond and Agency Investor guidelines and loan programs.
- Proficiency in using Ellie Mae Encompass and navigating investor websites.
- Knowledge of mortgage loan documents, title work experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle various Bond loan programs and manage investor conditions and exceptions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternative resolutions.
- Strong customer service skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
$65,000 - $70,000 per year. The salary range considers candidate qualifications, experience, and location, with potential for growth within the position.
