Position Title: Mobile Crisis Response Team Lead (Day Time)

Department: Mobile Crisis Response (MCR)

Reports to: Mobile Crisis Response Supervisor


Position Objective and Summary:

UCAN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to serve as the Mobile Crisis Response Day Time Team Lead. This position involves leading a team of crisis responders during daytime hours, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, immediate crisis intervention services to individuals in need. The Team Lead will be responsible for coordinating response activities, providing support to team members, and maintaining compliance with program standards.



ssential Functions and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Mobile Crisis Response Team during daytime hours.
  • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to team members, ensuring effective and timely crisis intervention.
  • Conduct regular team check-ins and facilitate communication among team members.

Crisis Intervention

  • Oversee and participate in crisis intervention services, including assessment, de-escalation, and stabilization of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Ensure appropriate and timely responses to crisis calls and referrals.
  • Provide direct crisis intervention services as necessary.

Coordination and Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Mobile Crisis Response Supervisor to implement and uphold crisis response protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other UCAN programs and community partners to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of services.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and other community resources as needed.

Training and Support

  • Assist in the training and development of new team members.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of crisis intervention and mental health.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all crisis response activities.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis to monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit reports to the Mobile Crisis Response Supervisor as required.

Education/Job Experience/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensure (LSW, LPC, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in crisis intervention or mental health services.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Special Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Strong clinical skills in crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Proficiency in data management and report writing.

Working Environment:

  • Must be available to work during daytime hours with some flexibility as needed.
  • Ability to travel within the service area as needed.
  • Work may involve exposure to high-risk situations and emotionally charged environments.
