Microsoft PowerPlatform / SharePoint Solutions Architect

General Position Description

Leads and provides Tier 3 platform/software development support for Solutions Delivery Team, largely utilizing Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft PowerPlatform (i.e. PowerApps, PowerBI, PowerAutomate). This includes the occasional writing of code or development of a solution for projects. Provides oversight of software development approaches and reviews suggested design / code changes for existing applications. Designs and modifies architecture of new and existing PowerPlatform environments/Workspaces. On a monthly basis, monitors cost on M365/Azure and provides suggestions for cost reductions.

Presents concepts and ideas to internal and external customers in order to generate new project paths. Identifies and documents infrastructure or application architecture as needed for new projects. Previous experience in Automation and the ServiceNow platform is preferable.

Prior experience in SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online migrations is highly desired.

Adapts to new software to assist in maintenance of M365 platform and projects, including SysKit Point, FluentPro Integration Hub. Strong background in PowerShell.

Role Responsibilities

  • Acts as Lead Developer/Architect for existing Solution Delivery team applications, including those based on SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, or PowerPlatform
  • Responsible for presenting complex solutions to senior leadership to gain trust, approval, buy-in, and to minimize financial impact to the Organization.
  • Organizes PowerPlatform infrastructure creation, role separation, data integrity/data access models as needed to ensure no data crossover or spillage can occur
  • Assists in the design, architecture, availability, reliability, and security of future PowerPlatform/SharePoint/M365 environments and works with customers to document administrative tasks and verify service level agreement requirements are being met.
  • Creates or maintains PowerPlatform infrastructure by identifying needs for new Environments/Workspaces depending on customer need.
  • Responsible for identification of, application of and maintenance of required service accounts for integration of external systems with PowerPlatform.
  • Responsible for developing documentation where needed.
  • This role will at times assist with the architecture of or fully implement Model-Driven and Canvas apps in PowerApps, PowerBI data sources and reports infrastructure and reports
  • Provides backup support in SharePoint 2016/Online administration, installation, migration, implementation, topology, and server configuration to support the Farm Admin when necessary.
  • Responsible for ensuring team has a documented training path to cross-train on different areas of the SD team responsibilities.
  • Works closely with Engineering and Operations/Maintenance to provide advice and support to properly implement engineering efforts into test/dev and production environments.
  • Responsible for maintaining connections, creation of Service Principals or Azure App instances as needed to facilitate external system connectivity.
  • Works with other technical staff to train them on proper SP Administration and troubleshooting techniques as well as outline standard processes and procedures for administration and engineering.
  • Can step in to support components of the SharePoint environment where needed: supports all components of the SharePoint environment including form, administrative site collection administration activities such as site creation, organizing user training, backup, restore, performance analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Develops and participates in development of configuration documentation relating to the PowerPlatform and SharePoint configuration environments as well as integrations to other systems.

Position Requirements

  • Significant experience with M365 strategies/roadmaps 5+ years of experience w/ Enterprise Software architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience SharePoint 2013/2016 Administration and design.
  • 5+ years of experience with Relational Database and operating systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience with writing, modifying and running PowerShell Scripts
  • 5+ years of experience consulting clients on potential SharePoint Solutions, client presentations, translating business requirements into technical requirements.

Salary: $151000 - $168000 per year
