The Membership Sales Manager will oversee the membership sales team, be responsible for driving sales, meeting membership goals, handling member account inquiries and resolving member account issues. This role requires an experienced leader that is driven by meeting and exceeding goals as well as developing and coaching a sales team toward excellence.
Primary Duties
Creating and executing effective sales strategies and coaching membership sales staff to deliver these strategies.
Identifying business opportunities to continue to fill the pipeline with prospects for the sales team.
Drive membership sales growth by monitoring key performance metrics and responding proactively.
Continually measure progress toward club goals and hold individual membership sales associates accountable for meeting their goals. Support and coach individuals to ensure success of the overall team.
Implement procedures and best practices to ensure the highest level of professionalism among the sales team.
Coaching the sales team on an effective discovery and sales process to ensure success in closing prospects.
Ensuring the sales team has a deep understanding of the facility, offerings, and other community events held within the Wellness Center.
Teaching and supporting the sales team to build their pipeline of membership prospects including referrals from current members.
Facilitate meaningful partnerships with cross functional departments.
Participate in off-site events to promote the Wellness Center to the surrounding community.
Represent Humboldt Park Health in a positive and professional manner.
Position Requirements
Education and/or related training is required
Requires a minimum of three years of sales leadership experience with a proven track record of success and five years total sales experience.
Most possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate exceptional listening and customer service skills; be social, outgoing, and friendly.
Be an onsite leader who “leads by example” in professionalism, dress, demeanor, dedication, attention to member service, and employee care.
Maintain composure and act appropriately in moments when multiple unexpected challenges arise concurrently.
Maintain good health and physical strength, remaining on your feet for the majority of the workday, and capable of working without physical restrictions.
Possess a passion for fitness, health, athletics, and wellness. Enthusiastic, professional, and genuine demeanor.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
