Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Marketing Coordinator, assists in the development and implementation of the Lancaster Performing Art Center’s (LPAC) brand, visual presence, and marketing needs. This role is responsible for assisting the Marketing Coordinator with designing creative assets, textual layouts, and websites. Additionally, the Media Assistant will be a key member of the LPAC marketing team, capable of delivering relevant creative ideas and necessary media support to the organization as a whole while acting as liaison between patrons and the Performing Arts Center.

Job Summary

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Acts as brand ambassador for the Lancaster Performing Arts Center and the City of Lancaster
- Generates promotions for the LPAC using various social media platforms
- Interacts with the public, providing information about performances and programming
- Creates visual text, image, and video concepts using computer software
- Communicates ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate audiences
- Designs graphics to meet the organizations specific commercial, promotional, or utilitarian needs
- Executes both digital and print graphic design - including, but not limited to, signs, banners, branded merchandise, billboards, social media posts, magazines, brochures, videos, advertisements, posters, etc.
- Uses a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects
- Transforms statistical data into visual graphics
- Maintains an expansive asset library
- Plans concepts by studying relevant information and materials
- Coordinates with outside agencies, artists, printers, and colleagues as necessary
- With the help of the Marketing Coordinator, develops, implements, and manages marketing strategies
- With the help of the Marketing Coordinator, creates engagement, retention, and retargeting strategies
- Stays up to date with the latest design trends and technologies
- Applies constructive feedback
- Ensures brand continuity across all platforms
- Assists with website updates and edits
- Develops and manages cross-platform paid ad campaigns
- Provides creative/graphic support to the Marketing Coordinator, LPAC management, and other departments
- Participates in various duties as assigned, including but not limited to, support for various LPAC operations, City of Lancaster special events, etc.
- 2+ years of experience as a Media Assistant, Professional Social Media Role, Graphic Designer, Visual Communications, or similar role
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom
- Photography experience – familiarity with DSLR camera
- Familiarity with web design and publishing using WordPress
- Ability in UX/UI design
- Sense of design principles and color theory
- Grasp of graphic design principles, color management, resolution, file types, scale, etc.
- Experience performing audience and buyer persona research
- Basic office skills (printing, Microsoft Suites, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)

- Currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Arts or a related field is desirable
