Position Overview

Franklinis.com seeks a motivated Media Ad Sales Executive to join our dynamic team and brand. This position will be responsible for sharing the many benefits of our special sections, niche product advertising, and online/email advertising with new accounts and current clients.

This fast-paced position requires a self-starter, someone ready to hit the ground running with no limits on success. Our sales staff is equipped with a fantastic business audience and reputation and a solid media kit. Applicants must be forward-thinking and able to apply the many benefits of digital advertising to various businesses. This role requires a proactive approach to meeting business owners, understanding their advertising needs, and offering tailored solutions such as ad space, sponsored content, and other packages. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound sales efforts to secure digital advertising contracts with local businesses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through regular communication and meetings.
  • Attend community events, ribbon cuttings, networking functions, and other local events to promote the magazine and identify potential advertising opportunities.
  • Assist with the annual Sizzle Awards, a voter's choice poll recognizing the “Best of the Best” businesses in Williamson County.
  • Work closely with the editor, copywriting team, and marketing teams to identify and manage suitable clients for various promotions, sponsored content, and other offerings.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in digital advertising or media sales.
  • Strong understanding of online advertising and marketing principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Ability to attend events and network within the local community, sometimes outside of regular business hours.
  • Ability to make cold calls to generate new business.
  • A passion for supporting and promoting local businesses and the community.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and dependable automobile is required.
