Job Summary
- Growing business looking for change leaders to lead the Mechanical organization to drive Operational Excellence, and long-term strategy to meet the demands of a broad customer base.
- This position is responsible for all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Technicians, Mechanics (Level 1-3). This includes system improvements, standardizing processes, and advancing technology to drive continuous improvement the Mechanical Department.
- In addition to delivering daily key results (safety, quality, service, cost, etc.), this role is accountable to developing and implementing a long-range Mechanical vision, strategies, and tactics. Systemic tools such as Lean, 6 sigma, and project mgmt. will be used to engage and drive all levels of the organization in achieving the vision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
- Mechanical Manager plans and directs all aspects of mechanical engineering activities within an organization. Ensures all mechanical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives.
- Mechanical Manager oversees the design of products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. May oversee fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
- Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
- Provides input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of, and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position performs other duties as assigned by Executive Director of Operations.

- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5-10 years related experience and/or training.
- College Level Mathematical Skills
- Basic Computer Skills: Ability to perform basic computer tasks and has the ability to operate common computer programs.
- Minimum Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak in a way that allows one to participate effectively in various conversations. Ability to read various types of standard items addressed to general readers.
- Intermediate Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions that may be furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High Standard of Report Writing
- Experience managing associates in a union environment a plus.
