Job Description
RemX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions! This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role.
$85k-$95k BOE with excellent benefits! Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance!!

Duties:
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.
- 2D quality control drawings for manufacturing.
- Component specification and selection.
- Enter assemblies and references into document control system (SmarTeam).
- Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis for part sourcing.
- Assembly of prototypes based on the designs created.
- Gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting.
- Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings, standard operating procedures and Bills of Materials.
- Proficiency with Draftsight, AutoCad, and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of SmarTeam and QAD a plus.
- Must possess a basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2 – 3 years of Mechanical Engineering Experience.
- Engineering experience in the automation field.
