Job Description
Client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. This individual will be responsible for working on the subcomponents of a mixed reality headset, helping to design and model electronic circuit boards, test fixturing, calibration equipment, and rapid prototyping. The engineer will work with local team members in Mountain View, CA as well as closely work with a Fort Collins, CO based team remotely.
Duties
Design fixtures to hold camera modules and test equipment.
Support PCB design mechanical features and CAD exchange with EE
Assemble, modify, and debug test setups
Prepare and lead design reviews
Attend weekly meetings to learn and address the engineering teams needs
Required Skills And Experience
Associates degree or BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
3d CAD modelling experience in Creo
Design for rapid prototyping and experience with 3d printing
Understanding of machinability and creating drawings for parts to be manufactured
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Windows 11, and Microsoft Teams
Comfortable working with small mechanical and electrical components
Good communication skills
Desired Skills
Familiarity with local and server side file management and revision tracking.
Understanding of cameras, lenses, optics, and photography fundamentals.
Understanding of electrical components and how to represent them in mechanical CAD.
Experience with PCB design CAD exchange between EE and ME
