Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Fitter with a view of progressing to the workshop manager to join their team who's head office is based in Birmingham. With a dedication to delivering Electromagnetic, Power & Mechanical Solutions, with over 50 years' experience in the metal processing and recycling industries.
The Mechanical/Electrical fitter will be a key team player within the engineering team, internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities Of The Mechanical/Electrical Fitter
Able to adapt and willing to learn all aspects of electromagnets
Fitting high/low speed rotors
Stripping and re fitting bearings
Welding
Building from new and refurbishing of old drum magnets
Proficient in both mechanical and electrical systems
Skills Required To Be a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter
Electrical qualification with 18th Edition wiring regulations
Fabricating
Welding
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Numerate
Able to work on own initiative
