Manufacturing Supervisor - Food Products, 2nd Shift

The Union City Plant is a state of the art facility that manufactures Animal Milk products. They have a great team and are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to run the 2cnd and 3rd shift operations.

What YOU get to DO in this high profile position:

• Provide leadership for off shift production, guidance, and supervision to hourly employees by directly supervising and coordinating the activities of employees.
• This includes production, housekeeping, quality control and distribution to ensure safety, production, quality, and cost standards are met.
• This position has hourly direct reports.
• Upholds and demonstrates the Land O’Lakes core values.
• Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvement, QMS and regulatory requirements, cost reduction, etc.
• Conducts regular inspections and production audits; compiles required reports; supports plant quality, environmental and safety programs.
• Confers with management and production personnel on production problems and recommends changes to improve production and quality standards.
• Effectively interacts with all employees to optimize efficiencies and meet plant objectives. Works closely with all members of management staff to ensure that the highest quality products meet scheduled commitments in a safe/efficient manner at the lowest possible cost.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, operations management or related field and 1+ years experience in manufacturing environment
• In lieu of degree, High School Diploma and/or Four Years Military Experience and a total of 5+ years in manufacturing setting with leadership experience
• Must have ability to communicate with a variety of people and negotiate priorities
• Demonstrated written communication skills
• Capacity for consistently meeting deadlines & ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel & other MRP systems
• Experience working 2nd Shift; 4:00 pm - 12:30 am or something similar
