Kelly Engineering is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. Join our dynamic team and contribute to the launch and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in driving manufacturing process engineering activities, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity across our operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Support Manufacturing Process Engineering:
- Oversee and improve final assembly manufacturing processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Develop and implement action plans to address quality concerns.
- Process Development and Improvement:
- Apply engineering principles to establish and refine manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods.
- Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
- Analyze scrap root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead efforts to resolve assembly-related concerns and implement lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards.
- Support ISO 14001 compliance and conduct internal ISO audits.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience.
- Flexibility: Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.
- Travel: Willingness to travel significantly during the initial plant start-up phase.
- Skills: Demonstrated leadership behaviors with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience:
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping.
- Knowledge of TQM and Kaizen methods.
- Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs.
- Expertise in Visual Factory Management and ergonomic analysis.
