Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to join our dynamic Operations team. This critical role requires an individual with extensive experience in thin film chip and wire manufacturing, particularly for RF and microwave products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to organize and plan manufacturing processes, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of products.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of RF test/tune technicians and assemblers.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of RF microwave and millimeter wave solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of manufacturing components across different markets such as aviation, communication, and Satcom.
  • Interface with vendors at the technical level, particularly regarding thin film substrates and equipment.
  • Maintain high frequency defense applications and ensure quality and precision in product manufacturing.
  • Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, track hours spent on projects, and handle spontaneous tasks while meeting deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or Physics.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Operations for RF/Microwave products.
  • Proven ability to stand independently in technical decision-making.
  • Expertise in thin chip and wire manufacturing materials and processes.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing materials and processes.
  • Familiarity with hermetic assembly processes.
  • Understanding of AS9100 quality requirements.


Skills:

  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to work to a schedule with deliverables, achieving due dates 80% of the time or more.
  • Effective communication and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing technical interfaces with vendors and internal teams.
