Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are the first responder and problem solver to technical production barriers by using your knowledge in areas such as manual machine operations, drilling, fabrication, metallurgy, etc. You'll be responsible for ensuring technical outcomes are consistent with established manufacturing engineering principles. You'll provide guidance to the teams ensuring customer, company, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.
In this role, you will...
Train and guide operators on the manufacturing processes.
Develop concepts, design change recommendations, rework / repair instructions, and investigate cause / corrective actions identified as issues.
Recommend process changes and implement process improvements.
Review detailed production documentation to provide acceptable product and process work instructions.
Periodically help prepare and conduct weld engineering analysis of materials and work instruction procedures to build the product. This can include helping develop welding standards and specifications.
Assist with special weld repairs as necessary and order perishable tooling for the manufacturing process.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years related work experience, or the overall equivalent combination of education and experience;
Must have proven knowledge in overall manufacturing concepts, practices, drawing standards, and procedures;
Possess an understanding of equipment and technologies relevant to manual machine operations including drilling and fabrication operations;
Capable of working with current computer applications, CAD programs, and model manipulation;
Ability to solve complex technical problems within the manufacturing process;
