Manager of Partnerships & Sponsorships

Summary:

Responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted sponsorship revenues for Chamber events and products. Responsible for managing and maximizing the revenues generated from our portfolio of affinity partners including BCBCSC, Staples, Hrsimple, EssCert and Salary.com. Oversees the development, planning and management of organization’s sponsorship initiatives including the fulfillment process and the creation and implementation of long- and short-term strategies for recruiting new sponsors and retaining current ones. Works closely with the events staff and all other departments.

Responsibilities:

The Manager of Partnerships & Sponsorships will perform the following functions. Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

  • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns for each member service initiative to increase participation in South Carolina Chamber member services programs.
  • Reporting:
  • Develop and track member service initiative results with monthly marketing reports for providers and brokers.
  • Develop and maintain marketing commission tracking reports that ensure accurate payouts for local chambers and business associations.
  • Track all sales activity for each month.
  • Create and manage marketing annual revenue budget and goals, report on each goal in quarterly business plan update.
  • Marketing:
  • Plan and develop correspondence and strong communication ties to the member services participants and strategic partners.
  • Identify new groups of prospects and develop new approaches to reach them; and research and analyze membership needs through the development and implementation of programs for new and expanded services.
  • Manage sponsorship budget.
  • Works to reach yearly sponsorship goal for each event.
  • Sell sponsorship opportunities.
  • Research and develop value added sponsorship opportunities and benefits.
  • Keep consistent and meaningful communications with sponsors before, during and after each event.
  • Continuously researches and identifies prospective sponsors and exhibitors for each event.
  • Curate strategic relationships for long-term success and opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with Communications team to create sponsorship packages and marketing materials.
  • Work to ensure event sponsors are promoted.
  • Fulfill sponsorship obligations.
  • Provide post event reports to sponsors.
  • Work closely with Events Manager and Director of Communications to ensure premier exposure for sponsors.
  • Work closely with Events Manager to ensure all sponsor signage and collateral items are accurate and reflect sponsorship benefits.
  • Manage, inventory and order general membership marketing materials for sales, events and booths to promote the brand.
  • Attend all meetings of the Chamber Partners Committee.
  • Assist the Grassroots Tour in the development and execution of sponsorships.
  • Assist with onsite duties for various events throughout the year.
  • Must value great customer service.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Represents the Chamber in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Employee must have strong computer and typing skills, including the use of and functional knowledge of several different software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
