Position Overview: The On-Site Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in our organization, acting as the primary point of contact for our clients, effectively managing technical teams, and ensuring the successful execution of various IT initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing technology-related operations, focusing on Windows server patching, Azure cloud services, end user compute patching, Tanium administration, and Active Directory management.
Responsibilities
Client Engagement:
Serve as the primary liaison between our organization and clients, fostering strong relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Collaborate with clients to define project requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
Team Management
Lead and mentor a technical team, including systems administrators and engineers, ensuring that they meet project goals and deadlines.
Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members to enhance their technical skills and performance.
Technical Expertise
Having understanding of the following technologies: Windows server patching, Azure cloud services, end user compute patching, Tanium administration, and Active Directory.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.
Project Planning And Execution
Develop project plans, set priorities, and allocate resources effectively to ensure successful project completion.
Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Quality Assurance
Ensure the highest standards of quality in service delivery, overseeing server patching, end user compute patching, and other IT operations.
Implement best practices to maintain system security and performance.
Documentation
Create and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, policies, and configurations, for reference and compliance.
Incident Resolution
Act as an escalation point for technical issues, providing guidance and solutions to resolve critical incidents.
Troubleshoot complex technical problems and coordinate with the team to resolve them.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in a technical leadership or managerial role.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows server patching, Azure, end user compute patching, Tanium administration, and Active Directory.
Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage technical teams.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
IT certifications (e.g., MCSE, Azure certifications) are a plus.
Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is beneficial.
