Lead Engineer

The Lead Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and General Manager. This candidate will assist with the daily scheduling of projects and tasks and will assist in the training, supervision, scheduling of the engineering staff as well as with energy conservation and recycling programs at the resort. Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all logs and reports required by Federal, State, and Local laws
  • Utilize the purchasing system to purchase parts and outside services to maintain and repair the resort equipment and physical plant.
  • Utilize the electronic work order system to generate work orders and monitor their completion including follow up on the quality of the repair and the satisfaction of the person requesting the work.
  • Participate in property inspection walks with department heads and asst. department heads.
  • Ensure all equipment logs, meter readings, chemical logs, energy logs are up to date and accurate.
  • Implement and supervise the preventative maintenance of all equipment, public spaces, guest rooms, and back of house spaces and update appropriate logs.
  • Monitor and Inspect all mechanical equipment including, but not limited to motors, starters, breakers, chillers, air handlers, fans, boilers, pumps, cooking equipment, and associated equipment throughout the entire property.
  • Inspect and the condition and maintenance of Public Areas, Guest Rooms and Back of House areas including furniture, finishes and equipment.
  • Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, leaks, floods, etc. As a Member of the Emergency Response Team.
  • Plan and execute annual maintenance plans, and equipment replacement projects throughout the resort. Maintain logs on movement of stock items and tools and monitor distribution of items.
  • Comply with and enforce Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ensure that meter readings are taken daily on heat, light and review information to evaluate consumption.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA’s):

Command of the English language both written and verbal. Well organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to work beyond standard hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the guests’ needs. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one (1) year hospitality experience.
