Job Overview: Communicate and negotiate raw material pricing with vendors to maintain profitable business. Ensure raw material purchase orders are placed and received timely, verifying quantities, pricing and delivery dates to meet operational schedules. Monitor and report pricing changes to the relevant personnel Review and resolve pricing discrepancies Review all jobs received for material requirements, suggest proper materials alternatives, and verify needs against current supply Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and balance changing client and company needs Successful candidate should have the following behavioral characteristics, skills and competencies: Daily “ hands on" individual with strong drive for results/accountability Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong vendor networking abilities Ability to define problems, collect and analyze pertinent data as it relates to specific projects Team Player
