IT Procurement Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive IT Procurement Manager to oversee our IT procurement activities and vendor relationships. The IT Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing IT products and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures. This role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a thorough understanding of IT procurement strategies.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for IT products and services to support business objectives and cost-efficiency goals.
• Source and evaluate vendors and suppliers; negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to achieve favorable terms and service levels.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT teams and business units, to understand procurement requirements and specifications.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, purchasing, and contract management.
• Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements; resolve issues and disputes as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX) throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors; evaluate vendor capabilities and performance regularly.
• Optimize procurement processes and workflows to streamline operations and enhance efficiency; implement process improvements as needed.
• Prepare procurement reports and analytics for senior management; present findings, recommendations, and cost-saving initiatives.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s degree or CIPS certification is a plus).
• Proven experience (X years) as an IT Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role, with a focus on IT products and services.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and methodologies, particularly in IT procurement.
• Experience in negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) with IT vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data and make informed procurement decisions.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills; ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
