Rantec islocated in Los Osos, California is an upper-tier designer and manufacturer of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets. We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.
Position Summary
The Inventory Control Supervisor will oversee personnel and all material functions at Rantec including processing material receipts, storing material content, issuing materials to manufacturing, shipping product, and recording all inventory transactions utilizing Rantec’s Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software. The supervisor will be responsible for reporting inventory control and shipping / receiving metrics to management and will be tasked with the identification & implementation of continuous improvement projects to further improve inventory turns.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise and orchestrate Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving staffing duties and skill sets
Monitor inventory levels and movement using manual and computerized inventory systems (MRP)
Coordinate and direct tasks related to materials management of finished goods, work-in-process (WIP), and raw materials
Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (5S, Lean, etc.)
Receive materials into stockroom locations and perform material transactions and properly store material based on their requirements
Assemble manufacturing production kits
Maintain accurate inventory and support record-keeping functions
Support Supplier or Internal Corrective Action Request (CARs) as required
Coordinate training and development of Material Handlers and Shipping/Receiving personnel in the Utah Facility
Review customer packaging or shipping requirements and ensure our processes comply
Develop New or update existing Operating Instructions based on new or updated requirements
Perform other duties, as assigned
Education And Experience
5+ years of relevant work experience
Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively and support manufacturing operations
3 or more years of supervisory experience preferred
Ability to interpret documentation including drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), etc
Knowledge of inventory management software (MRP), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Candidate will be able to maintain organization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certifications a plus
Salary Range: $28.27 - $35.50 Hourly
