Intern, IT (Summer)

The Opportunity

The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a summer IT Intern to assist with establishing baseline inventory conrol procedures. This position provides a highly motivated individual with the opportunity to work and enhance their IT portfolio while working within the Information Technology and Event Operations industry. Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills. This full-time paid internship ends in September, 2024.

In This Role You Will

• Execute the inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.
• Examine the current IT equipment and supplies to determine shortages.
• Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory.
• Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels.
• Evaluate new and used inventory and make recommendations to the Help Desk Manager for usable and non-usable assets.
• Report excessive surplus or inefficiencies.
• Ensures all equipment throughout the organization is labeled and documented.
• Other IT-related duties as assigned.
  
  

The Experience You Will Bring

• Currently enrolled or graduated from an IT post-secondary program or equivalent work experience in information technology.
• Detail-oriented and dedication to quality work.
• Able to maintain high level of service while maintaining confidentiality.
• Able to work and communicate with highly technical staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively and positively with peers, users, and management.
• Ability to multi-task and set own priorities to deliver consistent, outstanding IT support.
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, Power point.
• Must be reliable, able to work during normal business hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

• Knowledge of sports and entertainment, specifically NBA basketball.
