Interim Group Controller

Tatum's client, an industry leader located in New Haven, CT is on the lookout for a dynamic Divisional Financial Controller to join their team on an interim basis with potential for conversion tot he permanent role. The client is roughly $500M in revenue and the role is open due to retirement. This is an in-office position.

Duties:

• Overseeing the accounting for a $100-200M Division of the company
• Responsible for adhering to controls and processes set at the corporate level
• Active participant in Financial Analysis and Variance Accounting
• Strong inventory background preferred (Professional Service Industries NOT a fit, for example)
• Oversee and lead a team of 5+ Accountants and Managers
• Collaborate with operational leadership, offering financial guidance and strategic input
• Serve as a trusted business advisor on financial matters for the division's leadership team
• Any other duty, responsibility or task assigned by the Corporate Controller

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in both Accounting and Finance.
• Previous leadership experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller, ideally from a division with revenues of at least $50 million.
• CPA and/or MBA qualifications are highly preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in the Logistics, Transportation, Distribution and Warehousing industries.
