Summary/Objective
Job Description
The Intercultural Center (IC) Program Coordinator will coordinate programming, education, outreach, and administrative support for student diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Randolph College. The IC Program Coordinator reports to the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) and IC Director. IC Program Coordinator establishes strong interpersonal relationships with faculty, staff, and students while connecting them to campus resources as needed. The IC Program Coordinator will provide direct support to cultural registered student organizations (RSO), employee resource groups (ERG), and faculty cultural groups. The IC Program Coordinator will oversee daily IC administrative operations, which includes maintaining the schedule for the CDO, the schedule for the Hermina W. Hendricks Student Lounge, and supervision of student staff including the Genia Livings Welburn Fellows and work-study. This position supports the CDO in raising the visibility of diversity and inclusion through strategic and innovative outreach efforts.
Essential Functions

Work closely with offices and departments across campus to accomplish administrative, planning, and programming needs.
Liaise with RSOs, ERGs, and faculty cultural groups.
Demonstrate awareness of current trends or topics that influence programmatic content.
In partnership with student leaders, build upon and institutionalize student-led equity initiatives that foster welcoming institutional climate.
Assist in the planning of orientation and special programming with a focus on culture, representation, recruitment, and retention.
Record keeping of meetings and support of justice, equity, and diversity committee(s).
Establish and maintain community relationships/opportunities.
Maintain cyber and digital presence (e.g. social media, website, etc.).
Initial point of contact for the Intercultural Center and the CDO.
Maintain CDO calendar and IC events calendar.
All other duties as assigned.

Traditional office environment, primarily indoors.
Physical Demands
Extensive computer use and typing are required. Extended periods of sitting/standing may be required. Prep work for event set up and take down.

Required Education And Experience
Associate degree with related studies preferred.
At least 1-2 years of Intercultural/Diversity programming and administrative experience with similar duties and responsibilities.
Must possess strong organization and communication skills, both verbal and written, to be able to effectively communicate with all staff, faculty, and students.Must possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
The ability to establish and maintain effective positive working relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
The ability to analyze situations appropriately and adopt appropriate course of action.
Preferred Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in governmental, higher education, or regulatory compliance setting is strongly preferred.
