Intellectual Property Engineer/Patent Agent (IP Engineer)

We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Engineer/Patent Agent (IP Engineer) to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in patent prosecution and be proficient with various software tools. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who can manage patent-related activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support patent prosecution activities.

• Prepare and file patent applications, office action responses, and other legal documents.

• Utilize software tools such as Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and presentation purposes.

• Operate and manage electronic docketing systems like Foundation IP.

• Use the Patent Center for filings and managing patent records.

• Collaborate with engineering and legal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with patent prosecution.

• Proficient in the use of Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiarity with Patent Center and electronic docketing systems such as Foundation IP is a valuable asset.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a corporate or law firm environment dealing with intellectual property.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
