Position Summary

The Insurance Risk Management Analyst supports the Risk Manager and van line compliance group regarding corporate insurance programs, insurance certificates, and insurance compliance.

Functions And Responsibilities

45% - Certificates of Insurance

  • Issue certificates of insurance for van line operations, as requests are received
  • Secure required information from van line agents, review insurance requirements from third-parties, and issue certificates of insurance in alignment with SIRVA insurance policy terms & procedures. Partner with SIRVA Risk Manager and SIRVA legal, as needed, to respond to indemnity language requests
  • Issue certificates of insurance in support of client contractual agreements
  • Review the insurance section of the client contract and issue certificates of insurance in alignment with agreed upon contractual insurance terms

45% - Corporate Risk Insurance Programs

  • Assist the Risk Manager in compilation of underwriting information for insurance policy placements, domestic and international. Activities include analysis of underwriting information for accuracy, timely completion of applications and maintenance and review of insurance policy documents
  • Assist the Risk Manager with claims management and oversight of the van lines’ fleet claims
  • Support legal, sales and operations in the review of insurance terms in client contracts and new business proposals
  • Manage the surety bond program. Work with surety broker and internal teams on bond issuances, cancellations, reporting and invoicing
  • Calculate the quarterly workers compensation premium obligations for all monopolistic states and Canadian provinces

10% - Insurance Compliance

  • Manage the insurance compliance process for onboarding and vetting third-party vendors in alignment with the company’s insurance requirements and procedures

Qualifications And Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of commercial insurance and the risk management function
  • Detailed-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • BS degree in risk management, business, or finance
  • Property/Casualty Insurance Producer license, preferred
