Insurance Claims Analyst

Experienced Insurance Processor Opportunity

Experience Requirement

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in insurance processing.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in working with mainframe computers and systems, such as AS400.
  • Understanding of third-party benefits and administration.
  • Ability to maintain a minimum keystrokes per hour of 10,000 with less than a 2% error rate, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel applications.
  • Commitment to upholding a high level of confidentiality and promoting integrity with strong work ethics.

Responsibilities

Research and Application:

  • Research and apply insurance payments from clients to corresponding system invoices.
  • Identify correct insurance claim payments in the AS/400 based on customer information, service dates, service codes, and related charges.

Transaction Processing

  • Continuously enhance research methods to improve transaction processing efficiency.
  • Process transactions, including cash applications, member bills, invoice resubmissions, write-offs, etc.
  • Adhere to data processing guidelines to meet departmental standards.

Communication And Process Improvement

  • Maintain timely communication with supervisors on processed transactions.
  • Identify and suggest modifications to systems and processes to enhance the efficiency of assignment processes.
