Job Duties

As a key member of the Information Technology team, this role will report to the Information Technology Manager and will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems and data by implementing best practices, conducting regular security assessments, and adhering to relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with third-party vendors, including the third-party helpdesk team, to facilitate seamless collaboration.
  • Provide expert-level technical support to resolve complex IT issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and assist end-users as needed.
  • Collaborate on the development and upkeep of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans, safeguarding the organization's ability to rebound from disruptions effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs, evaluate solutions, and implement.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Track asset lifecycles, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) are desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex IT issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and advancements and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
