The IT Support Technician coordinates with Managed Service Provider (MSP) and provides assistance with employees using computer hardware and software/supports information technology employees within the organization/assists non-IT users (internal and/or external) who are experiencing hardware and/or software problems. This position reports to the EVP of Information Systems and Technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Desktop Support for Employees
Test and evaluate computer hardware, software, and/or systems (networks).
Troubleshoot computer-related problems; develop and implement solutions to those problems in a timely manner.
Set up new users and workstations to provide a seamless onboarding experience
Deliver projects that increase business productivity
Gain an understanding of business processes and how a technology/process improvement can enhance the processes
Research potential improvement hardware and/or software followed by a recommendation
Develop project plans for implementation
Deliver the project with adequate personnel training on-time and in budget
Understand and be understood by non-IT employees/customers.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all personnel
Work independently and as part of a team of IT support professionals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT environment or education
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Requirements
Associates degree from an accredited University in computer science/information technology
CompTIA A+ certification
1 year of experience in a help desk environment
