Job Description
Responsibilities:
Planning, scheduling and coordinating production of complex jobs, including production workflow, equipment, raw materials, and manpower needed to cover production demand
Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Purchasing raw materials, components, and services to meet the production and customer requirements
Monitoring costs to ensure the production stays within budget
Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes
Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
Source, negotiate, and select vendors that meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery requirements
Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery
Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders
Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained
Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders
Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
Prepare reports on purchase activity and supplier performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, mechanical or industrial engineering, supply chain management, or related experience with a minimum of a high school diploma
3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning
Excellent knowledge of industrial/manufacturing planning and quality control principles
Experience in JobBoss (ERP/Shop Management Software)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
High mathematical aptitude and analytical abilities
Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures
Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Must undergo pre-employment background check
