My client has gone through a recent transformation of its Indirect procurement team and are now looking for a skilled Procurement manager with cradle to grave experience – This category covers a range of subcategories including Cleaning, Security, Energy, Pest, MRO, Packaging…


  • The ideal candidate will have an industry background well suited – this might include manufacturing, automotive, aviation, food production.


  • This role required you to spend 50 % of the month in office and the other 50 % WFH – Flexibility in how you manage those days.


  • The client Is based in the Baltimore area – relocation is of on offer,

$100,000- $120,000 + Bonus

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsible for assigned categories and the development of category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk. Includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity supporting Indirect spend.


Required Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience of procurement
  • Experience of issuing RFPs
  • SRM
  • Experience delivering cost savings
  • Change management


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Procurement for their categories globally.
  • Leads the negotiations of procured materials and services to ensure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) is achieved. Develops and implements strategies to ensure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
  • Develops and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Assists with make vs. buy decisions.
  • Conduct formal presentations as well as coordinate & conduct supplier reviews.
  • Participates in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for price variances at Division level.
  • Promotes high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects & requirements for Purchasing guidance & leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
