The ideal candidate would require minimal training and be able to work without guidanceCandidates selected for an interview will be asked to perform a written assessment.Duties:- Utilize software to update and extract information- Gather and review necessary client documents- Prepare and complete applications and petitions under attorney supervision- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, or outside agencies to resolve legal related issues- Draft correspondence, edit, and file pleading with State and Federal courts- Manage caseload and conduct research- Respond to inquiries from current clients- Ability to manage multiple projects under stress and strict deadlinesJob Requirements:- Knowledge of family-based petitions and Removal Proceedings (42B, 42A, AOS, Asylum, Bonds)- Experience with USCIS, EOIR, and criminal court- Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail- Bilingual: Fluent in both English & Spanish (speaking, reading and writing), required applicants will be tested for proficiency.- Immigration Litigation Legal Assistant experience, required- Administrative office experience preferred 1-2 yearsSoftware: Microsoft Word, Excel Intermediate knowledge requiredMicrosoft Dynamics365, Sharepoint preferred but not requiredIn addition to personally rewarding work, DMCA offers a generous benefits plan which includes medical insurance, optional dental & vision at group rates, and employer-paid life and LTD plans.
