The HR Director will report directly to the CEO and partner with the VP, Manufacturing and other leadership team members to assess and deliver value-added HR services and support. As the HR Site/ Functional leader, you will lead an HR team in developing and implementing HR processes and programs that support the achievement of the company's future growth strategies. The HRD’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, talent recruitment and retention; employee relations and investigations; culture; compensation; community relations; and compliance. This role requires an analytical mind and deep business context to deliver the right HR solutions to these strategic functions. Strong communication skills are necessary, as the role will be expected to engage and influence business leaders, community leaders, and associates at all levels.
Key Priorities
Business-first People Leader: Learn the business, systems, processes, and culture. Establish, build, and leverage positive working relationships with the facilities’ leadership teams and employees. Spend time with employees via town halls and working off shifts to build relationships and gain first-hand knowledge of improvement opportunities.
Assess & Reshape the Function: Conduct a full assessment of the HR function, then organize and define the company's HR Service Delivery Model including structure, process, analytics, tools, and talent. Develop an integrated plan and financial process for priorities & projects. Roadmap and drive the implementation of effective HR programs, initiatives, and functional improvements. These programs should be tailored to the unique challenges of the facilities, foster a positive organizational culture, and attain business goals.
Employee Relations and Compliance: Partner with leaders to manage the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including investigations, complaints, performance management, and dispute resolution. Coach leaders and associates to ensure consistency between stated corporate values and behaviors. Provide counsel, and hands-on support, ensuring compliance with company policies and all federal, state, and local employment laws.
Talent Attraction and Retention: Partner with the Site leadership team to understand ongoing talent requirements and design/implement a talent acquisition plan to support the needs of the business. Redesign the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding experience to cultivate memorable candidate connection, promote loyalty, and improve retention. Develop and deploy programs that foster employee engagement, retention, and positive culture at the facilities. Deliver appropriate talent development and planning activities that will proactively identify talent and provide career development opportunities. Leverage coaching skills to assist employees and managers through their career development journey.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of HR experience required.
HR Site leadership/Team leadership experience required.
Manufacturing experience required.
