ABOUT THIS POSITION:

The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the

effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The Essential Job Functions are:

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

Assists with the administration of various HR programs and processes.

Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to standard

policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate

senior-level HR staff or management.

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are

collected and filed appropriately.

Provides clerical support to the HR department.

Conducts or assists with recruitment and new hire orientation and onboarding.

Assists with payroll functions including, but not limited to payroll processing, answering

employee questions, fixing processing errors, running HR and/or payroll reports, and distributing

checks.

May act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors,

which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

Assists with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment,

organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement

celebrations.

Performs other duties as assigned by HR Manager and RGA Leadership.

Responsibilities related to compliance and work habits:

Upholds patient confidentiality, HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations

Responsible for compliance and adherence with any necessary infectious disease policies and

regulations and guidelines as mandated by local, state, and/or federal regulations

Maintains a safe work environment

Timely completion of all compliance training and testing

with relevant state and federal statutes and regulations

Consistently work on ways to engage our patients, improve their care experience and maintain

strong relationships with referring physician offices and other referral sources. Create an

environment of trust and healthy working relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential

situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 or related software.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource

information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work well under pressure with diverse groups of professionals and physicians

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, which may include frequent interruptions

Must demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences within team and community

Work may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, reaching and the ability to push or

pull items weighing 30 pounds or less.

Required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor
