Role: Head of Transportation / Senior Project Manager - Transportation
Location: Morristown, NJ
Compensation: $140,000 - $225,000+ DOE (full suite of benefits, annual bonus, hybrid work schedule)
POSITION SUMMARY: We are on the hunt for an established Project Manager who has a proven track record within the civil/highway/bridge transportation spaces. Duties And Core Responsibilities
Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety
Assure that projects conform to the contracted agreements
Assure that projects are completed on time and under budget
Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a team of Engineers and Technicians
Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model within the division
Assist with the implementation of the New Jersey/New York Area marketing and business development goals
Assist with writing proposals and making presentations
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; participate in professional societies
Perform Independent Reviews of major projects
Serve as the lead designer on projects as required
Education, Experience, And Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering field required
Licensed NJ Professional Engineer required
8+ years of experience within highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects
Project management and contract administration experience
Ability to lead a design team while balancing multiple assignments
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates
Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology
Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for NJ Turnpike Authority, NJDOT and local agencies
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members
