Global Procurement Manager

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace or Automotive Procurement Manager (must have experience dealing with an Annual Spend $300 Million or higher) to oversee our client's purchasing activities. This is a direct hire/full-time position, on-site near Santa Clarita, CA and would require up to 20% domestic and international travel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing vendors, and ensuring cost-effective procurement processes. Materials being sourced range from: Chemicals, Acrylic, Polycarbonate, Glass, Electronic Assemblies, Injection Molded Parts, Metal and Composite Frames and Retainers. You will also need to have experience managing teams of around 50 direct/indirect reports. The position has a 20% bonus potential and outstanding benefits!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms
• Collaborate with production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Monitor inventory levels and manage supplier relationships
• Oversee contract management and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Lead procurement team in executing purchasing activities efficiently
• Analyze market trends and maintain awareness of industry changes
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Proven experience in procurement management, contract negotiation, and supplier management
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings
• Familiarity with production planning processes
• Proficiency in contract management and procurement software
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
