GIS Technician

Job Description:

This person will be working on the land side which means they are working with new construction. For example when a new subdivision goes in it shows just a bunch of trees instead of houses being built. They will work with the company that is building the subdivision to get the drawings so they can update the GIS system. They normally receive this in AutoCAD. So this person will need to be able to understand AutoCAD well enough to take the data from that software and put it in the GIS system

Skills:

AutoCAD

Ability to perform spatial analysis with editing tools in GIS database

Ability to work with minimal oversight and seek solutions

Will work with multiple teams and must collaborate

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Exceptional organizational and project/workload management skills
